This tantalisingly tongue tempter was inspired by the famous ‘Shirley Temple’ mocktail, originally created for the precocious child movie star of the same name. The story goes that Shirley Temple felt left out because the adult actors on the movie set were enjoying their very own alcoholic cocktails. So one of the bar staff created a personalised mocktail for Shirley by blending lemonade, grenadine and ginger beer to create this now famous soft drink. History records that she never really liked the drink herself, but it quickly caught on and is now considered mocktail royalty
